Bill Gates Foundation contributing money to third world countries for prescription drugs
We always talk about investing money in terms of profit but very few of us are willing to spend our money for the welfare of the society without caring about business. One such person who has replaced his business acumen by society acumen is Bill Gates.
He along with his wife founded Bill Gates Foundation for the welfare of the society. In the last decade, the foundation has committed $4.5 billion to prescription drugs and vaccines. It has promised another $10 billion for vaccines to the third world.
He is among one of the few of the billionaires who have gone ahead and contributed a major part of their fortunes for the welfare of the society. In 2007, founders of Gates Foundation were ranked as the second most generous philanthropists in America.
For some people money is not everything and Bill and Melinda Gates are one of those personalities who come under this category.
