Hedge Fund Manager Helps Cancer Victim
Filed in archive Charity on December 8, 2008

In BBC news, an anonymous New York hedge fund manager contacted the British cancer campaign group after hearing of the plight of Jack Rosser, 57, who could not afford a life saving cancer drug.
He was unable to persuade his Primary care trust (PCT) to fund the £3,000 a month cost of the drug which is one of a number of cancer drugs which have been at the centre of so-called postcode lotteries in which patients in one area may be denied a drug on the NHS, but would be granted treatment in another area.
