Investors bid up Osiris Therapeutics stock by 13.6% to $20.33 per share in early trading on the Nasdaq on March 26 after the company's stem cell treatment produced positive results in a clinical trial.
When Osiris Therapeutics (OSIR) announced encouraging results from its effort to help the hundreds of thousands who die each year because their scarred hearts can no longer pump blood efficiently, investors bid up the Baltimore stem cell therapeutic company's stock on March 26.
Also up is Alexza Pharmaceuticals (ALXA) who announced encouraging results on Mar. 26 from two studies intended to develop new treatments for migraine victims and schizophrenic patients with acute agitation.
Investors bid up Alexza's stock by more than 52% to $15.21 per share on the Nasdaq March 26. Story here.

Cardiomyopathy is a weakening of the heart muscle or a change in heart muscle structure. It is often associated with inadequate heart pumping or other heart function abnormalities. Cardiomyopathy can be caused by viral infections, heart attacks, alcoholism, long-term, severe high blood pressure, nutritional deficiences and others

There will always be a market for improved heart medicines as more and more studies come out claiming that heart issues start at an early age and are caused by everyday things that we control
