Suicide or Staged Scene, Letting Hedge Fund Manager Escape?
Filed in archive Hedgetalk on June 11, 2008

A hedge fund manager's SUV was found abandoned on a bridge with the *MASH* phrase "Suicide is Painless" written in the dust on the hood, so far no body has been found in the River Below. The victims of his fraud say they doubt he killed himself.
The FBI is skeptical, saying it is "actively looking" for the missing man, Samuel Israel III. He was sentenced in April to 20 years in federal prison for conspiracy and fraud. He was also ordered to pay $300 million to his victims.
