US Hedge Funds & Political Donations
I was doing some research on the effect hedge funds are having on politics and if there is any possibility that these giants could sway the outcome in their favor when I came across this article on Times Online, it has some interesting points.

"Hedge fund donations are expected to jump over the next two years to dwarf the $5.1 million given in the run-up to the 2004 presidential election."

Some of the presidential candidates going to hedge funds are Hillary Clinton, barack obamalinks, John Edwards and Rudolph Giuliani.

However, there are hedge fund donors to both Democratic and Republican parties, so its not as one sided as it was in the beginning with most hedge funds leaning to the left and the Republicans calling for a halt to hedge fund extremists.

Heres a good site where you can fill out a questionnaire to find your own political stance; Political Compass. However, don't pay the fee unless you have a good printer on hand.

More political news about Obama.
